To Have Breakfast Or Not To Have Breakfast? (or what to be our first meal :))

0

To clarify – breakfast is the first meal of the day, it could be at 7 or at 14 o’clock.

What you eat or don’t eat for breakfast has a great impact on your eating during the rest of the day. Whether you will be hungry and you will think constantly about food, or you will feel full and happy. The meals are interconnected: what you eat at each meal affects how much and what you eat on the next meals. Being full, having no cravings and hunger is directly related to what you have had before.

Hunger and whims are controlled by your choice of food – what you eat and what you do not eat.

For example, if I make an egg breakfast, with butter and cheese, then I want to eat more and more fatty meals all day long and very quickly accumulate a huge amount of calories.
At the same time this breakfast is very nourishing and suitable for another person. On the contrary, for another person, this breakfast may have exactly the opposite effect – to full him/her for a long time.

When I skip a meal immediately after waking up and I eat at lunchtime, I feel full long after eating. I have no appetite and starvation and my next meal is at least 4-5 hours after the first one. Often it is 6-7 hours later. It matters and how much I eat, too. I prefer to eat large amounts of food, 2-3 meals a day.

For another person, this type of eating may not be appropriate at all. Some people are like this: the more they eat, the hungrier they become. It’s better for them to take less food. Thus the stomach shrinks, and they can’t take up much food, which results in less total food for the day.

My metabolism is unique and it doesn’t care what research says about whether to have breakfast, or not and what and how much to eat. My metabolism doesn’t care what works for you. It doesn’t care how often you eat and what you eat.

My metabolism is mine. I’ve got to known it through experiments, and I follow what works for me, so that I feel full and healthy. I don’t think about food between meals.

If you are happy after breakfast, if you feel satisfied and you do not think when the lunch will be and what cookie you will have, that is your breakfast, whether it is at 8 or 11, whether it is eggs or fruits 🙂

If you want to be healthy and in perfect shape, you need to find what works for you!

Your metabolism works as it works and doesn’t care about Paleo, vegan, gluten-free or whatever rules.

I have clients who get very hungry after eating fruits in the morning. I understand them and I offer them the option to enjoy their favorite fruits by combining them with something else (fatty food such as nuts, for example) in order to feel full and satisfied 🙂

For another, it is unthinkable to eat fruit mixed with something else or to eat fruit at breakfast at all!

You’ve probably heard: “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day…”
But why gorge at 8 or 9 if you’re not hungry? You have your own rhythm of life and your unique metabolism!
