Gorgeous, this Strawberry Summer Fool is very tasty 🙂 I am in love with summer, sea, breeze and sun!
And summer fruits 🙂
A fool is an English dessert. Traditionally, fruit fool is made by folding pureed stewed fruit into sweet custard. In this version, the fool is made from old bread. We will not throw away the bread crusts!
The quantities of the products may vary according to the individual taste preferences.
Products (per 3 servings)
340 g strawberries (fresh/frozen or other berries)
25 g of coconut oil
35 g of maple syrup/molasses
80 g wholemeal bread
Method
Break the bread crusts into small pieces. Mix the coconut oil (liquefied) with the bread using spoon or hands. Add maple syrup/molasses to strawberries (raspberries and/or other berries of your choice, fresh or frozen can be used), mix well. If the fruits are frozen, put them in a pan on a low heat until they become a pure (mash them).
Put the bread mixture into a glass or bowl, press with a wooden stirrer, spoon or fingers. Then pour the strawberry (fruit) mixture. Garnish with coconut flakes.
You can eat right away or later (it does not need to be refrigerated).
The recipe is very simple and easy and it turned out surprisingly tasty 🙂
